2010 Program Outcomes

Our Healthy Start program enrolled 552 new pregnant women.

96.5% of babies born to Healthy Start mothers in 2010 were born at a healthy birth weight.


The Family Center helped 102 families in southern Chester County prepare their preschool-age children with the skills they will need to succeed in school.

Our Family Health Advocates conducted maternal depression screenings for 464 pregnant women and 671 postpartum women.

MCHC’s Spanish Language Interpreters provided more than 1,146 hours of interpreting at appointments for Spanish speaking clients.

Our staff and community partners enrolled 2,076 uninsured individuals into health insurance programs such as Medicaid and CHIP (Children’s Health Insurance Program).

Healthy Start served 1,371 pregnant and parenting women.

The Family Center held a Transition to Kindergarten summer session attended by 19 children to prepare them to enter kindergarten in the fall.
